This picture captures a special moment when I presented this hand-painted artwork to Bollywood superstar Sunny Deol Ji, inspired by his iconic character — long before any public announcement or hype of the film Gadar 2.
That moment proved to be lucky for me and a turning point for him. He went on to deliver massive blockbusters like Gadar 2 and Jaat, and is now preparing for another epic — Border 2.
I have also sold many scripts and songs in Bollywood without ever asking for credit. But I am grateful to Sunny Deol Sir for supporting me as an artist.
I sincerely pray for his continued success, good health, and happiness. May he keep entertaining millions with power-packed blockbusters.

यह मुलाकात मेरे लिए बेहद लकी साबित हुई — इसके बाद उन्होंने “गदर 2” जैसी ब्लॉकबस्टर दी, “जाट” जैसी सुपरहिट फिल्में कीं और अब “बॉर्डर 2” सहित कई शानदार फिल्मों के साथ वापस आ रहे हैं।
मैंने भी बॉलीवुड में कई स्क्रिप्ट और गानों के राइट्स बेचे, लेकिन कभी किसी से क्रेडिट नहीं माँगा।

I Miss You Dadi Ma – दादी माँ की याद में
“वो जो सिर पर हाथ रख देती थीं, तो दुनिया हल्की लगती थी…”
दादी माँ,
आज जब कमरे में अकेले बैठा हूँ,
तो आपकी धीमी-धीमी चलने की आवाज़,
वो हल्के से खाँसना,
और रसोई से आती गुड़ की खुशबू —
अब भी वैसी ही महसूस होती है।
आपका हाथ वाला पंखा चलाते हुए कहना —
“बेटा सो जा, बाहर बहुत गर्मी है…”
जैसे अब भी कानों में गूंजता है।

आपकी कहानियाँ…
जिनमें कभी राक्षस होते थे, कभी देवता —
अब उन्हीं कहानियों में
मैं खुद को ढूंढता हूँ।
आज जब थकता हूँ, गिरता हूँ…
तो बस मन करता है —
कि फिर से आपकी गोद में लौट जाऊं।
आपका वो सिर पर हाथ रख देना…
जैसे सारे दुख
एक पल में उड़ जाते थे।

मानो मेरी दुनिया ही उजड़ गई।
आपकी बहुत याद आती है।
आप वापस आ जाओ न।

“भगवान सबकी सुनते हैं…”
पर दादी माँ,
मैं रोज़ भगवान से एक ही प्रार्थना करता हूँ —
“मेरी दादी माँ को वापस भेज दो…”
मगर वो मेरी सुनते ही नहीं।
मैं क्या करूँ दादी माँ?

माँ और पिताजी के जाने के बाद,
आप ही मेरा सहारा थीं।
मगर अब आप भी मुझसे रूठ कर चली गईं दादी माँ।
अब तो हर रोज़
मैं बस आपके फोटो से बात करता हूँ।
—
आपको पता है दादी माँ…
अब मैं रात को भूखा ही सो जाता हूँ।
कोई मुझे खाने के लिए नहीं पूछता।
कल मेरा हाथ जल गया — रोटी बनाते समय।
और जब आप थीं…
तो मैं आपसे कितनी सारी रोटियाँ और मीठी पूड़ियाँ बनवाया करता था।

आज दिवाली है।
सभी अपने घरों में
मीठे-फीके पकवान बना रहे हैं।
और मैं…
बासी रोटी खा रहा हूँ, दादी माँ।
—
अब मैंने रूठना भी छोड़ दिया है —
क्योंकि अब कोई मनाने नहीं आता।
—
आपको कल की बात बताता हूँ…
कल आटा खत्म हो गया।
मैं सेठ जी की दुकान पर गया —
मगर सेठ जी ने मुझे आटा नहीं दिया…
और भगा दिया।
और जब आप जाती थीं…
तो पूरा कट्टा आटे का उठा लाती थीं।

दादी माँ,
आपको पता है —
मैं आपसे आज इतनी बातें क्यों कर रहा हूँ?
क्योंकि
आपके जाने के बाद
इस दुनिया ने मेरा बहुत दिल दुखाया है।

आज मेरे हाथों में बहुत तेज़ दर्द है…
पता है क्यों दादी माँ?
आज आपकी बरसी थी।
और आपको रसगुल्ले बहुत पसंद थे।
तो मैं कल रविवार के दिन
गाँव के एक मिस्त्री के साथ काम पर चला गया।
बहुत ईंटें ढोई…
बहुत थक गया…
हाथों में छाले भी पड़ गए।
मगर मेरी सारी थकान
उस वक्त उतर गई —
जब मिस्त्री ने मुझे मिठाई के लिए पैसे दिए।

आज मैं बहुत खुश हूँ दादी माँ…
आपके लिए मैं रसगुल्ला लाया।
आपको याद है न…
जब मेरा मीठा खाने का मन करता था —
तो आप मेरे लिए
रसगुल्ले बचाकर रखती थीं।
वो पल अब भी मेरी आँखों के सामने हैं।

अब मैं स्कूल भी टाइम से जाता हूँ…
बस आप आ जाओ न दादी माँ।

that gentle cough,
and the sweet smell of jaggery from the kitchen —
it all still feels so real.
You waving that hand fan,
saying softly —
“Go to sleep, my child… it’s too hot outside.”
Still echoes in my ears.

where there were demons one day and gods the next —
now I find myself
wandering inside those very stories.
Today, when I fall, when I feel tired…
my heart longs
to rest once again in your lap.
Your hand on my head…
used to blow away
every sorrow in an instant.

Dadi Ma,
ever since you left —
it feels like my whole world has collapsed.
I miss you so much.

“God listens to everyone…”
But Dadi Ma,
every single day I pray just one thing to God —
“Please bring my grandmother back…”
But He never listens.

After Mom and Dad passed away,
you were the only support I had left.
But now, even you
have left me behind, Dadi Ma.
Now every day,
I just talk
to your photo on the wall.

these days I often go to bed hungry.
No one asks me if I’ve eaten.
Yesterday, I burned my hand while making roti.
And when you were here…
I would make you cook so many rotis
and sweet pooris for me.

Today is Diwali.
Everyone is cooking sweets and snacks at their homes.
And I…
am eating stale bread alone, Dadi Ma.

because no one tries to console me anymore.

The flour ran out.
I went to Seth Ji’s shop,
but he refused to give me any,
and shouted at me to leave.

I went to work with a mason in the village.

my hands got blisters.
But all my fatigue vanished
when the mason gave me money
to buy sweets.
